About Me

I began homeschooling my children in 2000 and have seen many changes in the homeschool world.  Despite those changes, one thing has remained constant: homeschooling is a great tool to provide your children with an individualized, rigorous education, but it is easier done in community.

Strong Minds Learning Community was born out of my desire to provide my children with a homeschool experience that celebrates diversity and honors the experiences of those around us. We aren't afraid to ask difficult questions, knowing that only in understanding the past can we make needed change for the future.

In addition to homeschooling, I have spent the last six years overseeing the exceptional education department of a small private school where I have gained invaluable experience in working with students who have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, and dyslexia.
